City Utilities of Springfield Missouri has scheduled a public meeting to
discuss the new possible site location (the corner of Kimbrough and Elm)
for the downtown bus transfer station.

City Utilities will host a public meeting from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. On
Thursday, September 22, in the Community Room of the Midtown Carnegie
Library, located at 397 E. Central. The informal meeting is for
customers to visit with members of CU Transit staff and management about
the history and process of selecting a new location for the Transfer
Station. 

Four informational areas will be set-up on the following topics: 
Project History 
FTA and Feasibility Study Process 
Existing Transfer Station Information 
Recommended Transfer Station Information 
The public meeting is a come-and-go format, with attendees encouraged to
discuss the areas of interest with Transit staff and management. A
formal presentation or public hearing will not take place.
