Our Mission states: "The Barbershop Harmony Society brings men together in harmony and fellowship to enrich lives through singing." There are nearly 800 chapters in 17 districts in the United States and Canada. Founded in 1938, the organization will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2013. Vision for the Future:

Our Vision: "To be the premier membership organization for men who love to sing." Our goals are to keep the harmony of barbershop music alive well into the future, to extend the reach of Society performances through wide external partnering with other organizations and the development of new performance venues and audiences to share out harmonies, and to grow the membership with vibrant chapters and districts, actively involved in their communities.
