Gene,
Since Monday is Martin Luther King Jr Day, there might be a smaller
staff than usual because of the holiday.

Those of you who have trouble getting your desired room for state
convention
I recommend doing the following.
Wait until Monday during regular business hours and call 1-816-737-0200
tell
the person that you want a room for the National Federation of the Blind
Convention and if they tell you there no rooms of that type available
inform them that you understand that our contract specifies “run of the
house” and hopefully that will resolve the matter and they should offer
you
a standard room with two queen or double beds. I haven’t heard of
troubles
for folks wanting King beds yet. The above strategy worked for at least
one
person. On weekends all reservation calls are forwarded to national
reservations and they can’t fix the problem.
I will call the hotel on Monday and try and resolve this issue as well.
This seems to happenn almost every year but not to so many folks it will
be
fixed one way or another.
Gene
