hi,

do we have a real picture of the possible votes?
a press release isn't worth much if his desire is over ridden.

  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

  March 6, 2012

Gov. Nixon issues statement on meeting with leaders from Missouri Council of
the Blind, National Federation of the Blind

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Gov. Jay Nixon today issued the following statement
regarding his meeting with leaders from the Missouri Council of the Blind
and the National Federation of the Blind:

"For decades, Missouri has protected our efficient program to provide health
care for the blind. This program is carefully focused to help blind
Missourians with the greatest need, and it is a lifeline for thousands of
people. This afternoon, I met with leaders from the Missouri Council of the
Blind and the National Federation of the Blind to discuss how we can
continue to work together to safeguard this efficient and vital program at
its historic full funding level. As Governor, I will continue to make the
tough choices needed to balance our budget and hold the line on taxes. But
cutting health care for the blind simply isn't an option."
