  By a vote of 102 to 49 the Missouri House defeated the first attempt to 
  restore some to health care for the blind. It would have been $1.1 million 
  from a program to treat welfare recipients for drug use. It was proposed by 
  Sara Lapie of Springfield .
  I hope we soon hear better news.
