As stated previously the Springfield Chapter is having a drawing for a new
Victor Reader Stream New Generation at the convention. (The details are
reposted below.)

I had heard conflicting information about the Victor so I called Humanware
today.

The new Victor is wireless capable. It will be able to download books
from Bard once the libraries make their end compatible.
The victor will also be able to download and play radio stations wirelessly
soon. These updates will be free when available.

The Victor does have some new features. Some of them are:

28 percent smaller
rounded corners
able to play ITunes formats, plus several others
new more human like voices
capability to use a thumb drive in addition to SD cards

The details for the drawing:

The Springfield Chapter is having a drawing for a Victor Reader Stream New Generation. A donation of $5.0 will give you one chance and $10.00 will give you three chances in the drawing. This drawing is open to everyone that wishes to participate.

If you wish to donate by check it needs to arrive by Monday, April 1, 2013 and clear the bank in order to have a chance in the drawing. Please make your checks payable to The National Federation of the Blind of Missouri, Springfield Chapter. All mailed in money orders must be received by Wednesday, April 10, 2013 to have a chance in the drawing. Any money orders or checks received after these deadlines will be returned.

Only cash and money orders will be accepted at the Convention and must be submitted in person to Erin Magoon or Laura Rios by 10:00 pm Central Standard time on Saturday, April 13, 2013.

You may also give your donations to whoever is manning our table during exhabition hours.

Every donor will have their name and phone number written on a 5 by 7 inch index card in braille and print. Those chances will then be entered into the drawing.

The winner will be drawn by Gary Wunder on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the Missouri Convention. You do not need to be present to win.

Please send all mail in payments to Erin Magoon, 2828 S. Nettleton Ave., Apt. A103, Springfield, MO 65807. Please include your name and telephone number.

We will also gladly accept donations for those who are only interested in donating and do not wish to have a chance in the drawing
