[Nfbmo] Important for St. Louis area members

Fair enough. Local events are always a consideration. In St Louis not only
is baseball a consideration but NCAA men’s or women’s college basketball is
also a consideration as I believe St.Louis is in line to host one of the
rounds one of those two years and there are probably other events going on
in a thriving city. I always give the hotels a window of mid March to
mid-April and work with them. It can make a difference in rates. For
example, a couple of years ago in Springfield it was $10 cheper to have the
convention last weekend of March thend second weekend of April because
Silver Dollar City was opening and had some special promotion. While this
year we saved $5.00 a night waiting until second weekend in April. My
preferred weekend has been the last weekend of March but this year we had a
big snow storm of all things that weekend.

hi,

one suggestion is move it back to mid/late march before baseball season
starts so there is a chance of better hotel rates.
