Fort Leonard Wood Base Store Cashier/Clerk (Fort Leonard Wood, MO)
($10/hour, M-F, day hours)

Job Summary:  Perform cashier and stock clerk duties and assist with all
aspects of customer service and store maintenance.

 

Essential functions include:

.         Receive payment for good purchased in the form of cash, credit,
voucher or other authorized form of payment, and issue receipt, change and
other record of purchase required by customer.

.         Maintain transaction records and register reconciliation
documentation.

.         Operate cash register with peripheral electronic data processing
equipment by passing individual price coded items across electronic data
scanner to record price, compile printed list, and display cost of customer
purchase on monitor screen.

.         Inventory, store, price, and restock merchandise displays.

.         Receive, open, and unpack cartons or crates of merchandise,
checking invoice against items received.

.         Stamp, attach, or change price tags on merchandise, referring to
price list.

.         Stock storage areas and displays with new or transferred
merchandise.

.         Set up advertising signs and display merchandise on shelves,
counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.

.         Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles.

.         Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons and assist with loading
into customer vehicle as required.

 

Physical demands include:

.         Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

.         Must be able to lift, bend, twist and stoop.

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

.         High school diploma or equivalent required.

.         Prior work experience within a retail store preferred.

.         Ability to operate computerized cash registers and related
equipment.

.         General knowledge of office equipment and machines, including
computer terminal and desktop computer.

.         Ability to deal pleasantly and courteously with management,
customers, and co-workers, by telephone, written correspondence, and in
person.

.        Ability to work as a member of a team.

.         Good interpersonal and communication skills.

 

 

Customer Service Representative (Jefferson City, MO) ($10/hour, M-F,
8am-5pm)

The Customer Service Representative represents Young Williams and provides
outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers by
professionally answering all calls and insuring that customers receive
accurate information politely and promptly.

 

Essential functions include:

*	the ability to work independently with little or no supervision
*	the ability to meet the minimum requirement of number of calls
answered per day
*	the ability to draw from resources, policies and supervisors to
answer all inquiries, recognize case issues as they develop in order to
reduce workload
*	willingness to show a high level of enthusiasm in serving customers
and improving team performance

 

Physical demands include:

*	while performing the essential functions of the job, the employee is
regularly required to type, talk or hear
*	frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms
*	sometimes required to stand and walk
*	must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

*	High school diploma or equivalent required
*	Degree or certificate in related field preferred
*	Computer experience and typing proficiency required
*	Excellent written and spoken communication skills including voice
tones and grammar as well as time management skills and organizational

Tier One Investigator - part-time (Kansas City, MO)($8.25/hour, 3 days per
week)

Job Summary: Monitoring state communications and reporting of questionable
activities to supervisors.

 

Essential Functions:
. Monitor state communication via phone calls utilizing a headset.
. Report all questionable calls to Tier 2 Investigator for analysis.
. Maintain an established level of monitored calls on a daily basis.
. Utilizing computer equipment and associated software, make the appropriate
notations as per training protocols.
. Ensure all work performed is kept "confidential" as required by the
customer.
. Comply with all rules and procedures to maintain a "secure" work
environment.

 

Additional Functions:
. As the need arises, be available for court testimony on job related
issues.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
. High school diploma or GED.
. Computer literate, specifically in Microsoft 2010.
. Must type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
. Excellent attendance record.
. Detail oriented with specific emphasis on listen skills.
. Must be able to pass and maintain background checks administered by
Alphapointe and the Missouri Department of Corrections.
. Mandatory confidentiality relating to work performed.
. Fluency in a second language given preferential consideration.
. Ability to work in a secured team environment.
. Must be able to pass a pre-placement drug screen.

 

Working Conditions:
. Work in a "secured work station" environment.
. Work with employees who have vision impairments.

 

VA Switchboard Operator -part-time (Kansas City, MO) (mainly second and
third shift, $13.87/hr + $3.71/hr Health & Benefit Adder)

Job Summary:  Under the direction of the Manager, the hospital switchboard
operator is responsible for processing incoming and outgoing telephone
calls/emergency procedures.

 

Essential Functions:

*	Work as a telephone operator; process incoming/outgoing telephone
calls for the medical center; operate computer based console switchboard,
radio paging, public address and audiovisual call systems; provide
switchboard services for the effective operations of the VA Medical Center.
*	Respond to various emergencies and/or emergency alarms; activate
necessary procedures for such situations as, but not limited to, cardiac
arrest and patient disturbances; use the public address (PA) system, radio
paging and two-way radio systems to relay messages and make announcements;
answer all emergency calls and alarms quickly and accurately; operate
wireless radio and digital pagers and paging systems; maintain appropriate
records; test code pagers.
*	Monitor backup systems for fire/smoke alarm and police security
systems.
*	Maintain all required documentation (i.e. record all
international/toll calls/faxes in the long distance log, including the name
of the employee, time, number called, and services).
*	Use discretion, tact and good judgment to handle all situations that
may arise.
*	Process all calls in a courteous and professional manner, giving a
favorable impression of the VA at all times.
*	Understand written guidelines for processing calls, alerts and
maintenance of equipment and records; memorize a substantial portion of
these instructions and provide correct interpretation.
*	Must have a flexible schedule and be receptive to shift changes and
working overtime when the need arises.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

*	Must be able to assume the responsibility of placing a variety of
calls including special long distance/international calls/faxes over varied
circuits/routing. 
*	Must perform information which requires knowledge of the
organizational units and major functions of a large multi-division
organization. 
*	Must have the ability to meet and deal with a variety of levels of
understanding.
*	Must be able to work under pressure and under stressful conditions
and be able to adapt to a changing work environment.

 

Machine Operator (Kansas City, MO) ($9/hour, M-F, 2nd and 3rd shift)

Job Summary:  Runs various machines within the Office Products area,
including but not limited to: stick pen machine, tape machine, envelope
machine and screen printing machines.

 

Essential Functions:

.         Various machine operations, setup and adjustment. Will require
basic mechanical skills.

.         Daily entry of production records into Production Form.

.         Shop cleanup and material organization as needed.

.         Preparation and deployment of monthly cycle counts.

.         Packaging, data coding, substitute for key personnel in these
areas if absent.

.         Rework or cleanup of product if required.

.         Other misc. duties as assigned by the dept. supervisor.

.         Operate printing machine, printing pen barrels for stock,
production orders, and custom work.

.         Maintain and run any and all machines in shop.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

.         Experience in various machine operations

.         High school diploma/GED

.         Good mechanical aptitude

 

Contract Closeout Specialist (Kansas City, MO ) ($14.22/hour + $3.81/hour
Health & Benefit Adder)(M-F, 7am-3:30pm)

Job Summary: The Contract Closeout Specialist is responsible for initiating
(automated or manual) administrative closeout of the contract after
receiving evidence of its physical completion.

 

Essential Functions:

.         Reviews termination notices for extent of action (partial
complete) and for special conditions or instructions, e.g. shipment of
Government-furnished materials.

.         Analyzes the contract and related documentation, e.g. unsettled
engineering or value engineering change proposals, payment provisions,
contract status and other provisions and establishes the contract price of
items terminated.

.         Recommends the release of estimated excess funds.

.         Acts on contractor's request for submitting proposals on a total
cost basis.

.         Evaluates, as necessary, the contractor's systems for settling
terminated subcontracts, and issues, monitors, or revokes delegations of
authority to settle subcontractor's claims without Government approval.

.         Post award contract administration, termination and closeout
actions and administrative and reporting functions.

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

.         A 4 year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a
major in any field; OR at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the
following fields: accounting, business, finance, tax, contracts, purchasing,
economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or
organization and management.

.         Must be a U.S. citizen.

.         Must be able to successfully pass a U.S. Government security
investigation.

.         Highly proficient I computer technology (Word,Excel) and Adaptive
Technology.

.         Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.

.         Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial.

.         Must be team oriented with a strong work ethic.

.         Must have experience with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word,
etc.)
