Hello all,
Thanks to all who have done what they need to do about convention this message is not for you if you have sent the registration form in and made the  hotel reservations.
First, the hotel has granted us an extension until March 12 to make your reservations. They did this because we are at least 6 rooms short of meeting our minimum guarantee. So what if we don’t meet our guarantee you ask? Well, depending on how we do on the rest of the contract  the affiliate will pay for unsold guest rooms. And, if you do not make your reservation by the new date of March 12 you may pay as much as $149.00 a night
Second we currently only have one third of those expected for our meals who have paid at this point. Send your forms in NOW.  Do not delay. 
Some folks have tried to Email the form and say they will send a check later or pay at the door. These Emails will be deleted. The only way to register for convention is to send your check or money order  WITH the registration form. In addition, some folks are saying they  will pick up additional meals when they get to convention. That could be a very big mistake as those meals may or may not be available for purchase as I need to give a final count  on Monday or Tuesday of that week. I , for one, will not have sympathy for long time members left out in the cold because they did not take care of business. Only 6 out of 13 board members have registered for convention.
I know there are people waiting to register as we have more rooms rented than  there are people attending banquet., it figures out to 3/4 of a person per hotel room.
By the way the hotel has extended also the exhibit table deadline to March 14 (the original deadline published) as well. However, the deadline for mailing Childcare registration is March 7!
I have attached yet another  registration form and the number to call to reserve a room is 573-445-8531 use reservation code B14.
I do not care, at this point, if you do not like getting all of these messages or think I am babying members as my job is to make sure that we get everyone registered and hotel rooms.
Please take immediate action.
