Please take a few moments today to contact the Speaker of the House in the
Missouri General Assembly to ask him to assign HB 2089 to committee so that
a hearing can be scheduled. We really need to see this bill passed during
this legislative session.

 

If you are not familiar with the bill, it requires educators to utilize a
reliable research based assessment such as the National Reading Media
Assessment (NRMA). We need to strengthen Missouri statutes  to ensure blind
students who need braille are not denied because of residual vision.
