I'm fine with an arrival on Thursday giving us a full day on Friday. We
can also add some time by going longer on Sunday - though that can run into
issues with checkouts and whether or not the hotel will let us keep our
meeting room.
I'm open to whatever the committee chooses.

For quite some time now we have been wrestling with how to incorporate more
events into our convention. We simply cannot do more than we are doing if
we
limit ourselves to Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday until noon. We
often
talk about Friday as an opportunity for expansion, and some divisions and
committees have taken advantage of this day to hold seminars.
A committee of Gene Coulter, Julie McGinnity, Bethany Bennington, and
Shelia
Wright would like your input as we figure out how to expand the convention.
There are certain meetings which are so important that they need to be
placed at times that don't put them in conflict with other important
meetings. They can't be placed so early that people don't come or so late
that people can't stay up. The real question this committee must address is
whether people are willing to add an extra day to their convention
experience, and they will need your help in figuring this out.
I believe that from this email you will be able to see the contact
information for each committee member. Give them your thoughts, and when
they post requests on the list for input, please give them the benefits of
your wishes, thoughts, and your wisdom as members.
Gary Wunder, President
National Federation of the Blind of Missouri
