Our friend Erin had surgery on Tuesday in which they removed   much of her Thyroid. She is expecting to be released from the hospital on Wednesday. The surgery was much more elaborate than initially projected as instead of lasting less than an hour it took over 4 hours. Post surgery she had some numbness in her hand.
