Hi,

Thanks, I wasn't aware of those interests.

Hi Brian,
Most certainly we all have selective hearing at times. I definitely did
not intend to come across as argumentative. So, I apologize for that.

The good I talked about were efforts of good will and charitable donations.
After his diagnosis of Parkinsons, he founded a foundation to combat the
disease and provide help for those challenged with Parkinsons. He supported
programs like Make a Wish and Special Olympics. He traveled to developing
nations and provided support for those in need. It's my understandingthat
he traveled to the Middle East to use his fame as a means of trying to free
Americans. He did receive medals for some of these actions, but for the
most part, the things he did were done without fan fair. He used his fame
and fortune to reach out and do good things that he would have been unable
to do if his fame had not happened. Interestingly enough, he described
himself as a simple man who got lucky to have a talent that carried him to
the top.

So, to me, he is inspirational from the perspective that he could have used
his disability as a spring board to create a larger fan fair for the efforts
to impact change. But, he did good because he could and because he wanted
to. I wish there were more people who could use their fame to do good
rather than do good to increase their fame.
Roger
