Do You Have Trouble Sleeping at Night?

Do You Fall Asleep During the Day?

It May Be You Have Non-24 Sleep Disorder?

Non-24 is a chronic, circadian rhythm disorder resulting in disruptions to the body clock’s 24-hour day cycle. This disruption may affect the sleep-wake cycle in people who are totally, or almost totally blind.

The sleep disturbance may cause significant distress or impairment in social, occupational and other important areas of functioning.

Non-24 affects the majority of totally blind individuals and it is estimated that approximately 80,000 Americans have the disorder.

The Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired welcomes

Charles Rathmann from Vanda Pharmaceuticals as he discusses

Non-24 and its effects on the individual and treatment options.

Current medication is limited to adults, but knowing a child may have this disorder can be helpful to parents, family members and educators.
