 lease pass along as appropriateOrCam Representatives to be at Society for the BlindFriday & Saturday, August 4 & 5 Official representatives from OrCam will be at the Society for the Blind on Friday, August 4th and Saturday, August 5th for individual one-on-one demonstrations and an open group presentation. Orcam is a small eyeglass mounted camera that reads print and converts into speech, which a person hears through a small earphone. OrCam can read near and distant print such a bills, letters and street signs. The higher level OrCam can also be programmed to identify people through facial recognition and tell the person who they are looking at. Anyone interested in a one-on-one demonstration can schedule one for either Friday afternoon, August 4th or Saturday afternoon, August 5th by calling the Society in advance to reserve your day and time. One-on-one demonstrations take approximately 30 minutes. An open presentation will also be held for anyone interested in learning more about the OrCam on Saturday, August 5th at 10 AM.To schedule your one-on-one demonstration please call the Society at 314-968-9000.
