[Nfbmo] reminder to those who are going to national convention

Hi all,

National convention can be a stressful time because of the amount of
people in the hotel, the number of guide dogs, and the overwhelming
variety of activities available to us. Perhaps it could be easy for
us to forget how important it is to practice common courtesy under
those circumstances. I understand Dave, why you may wish to remind us
of those simple things every one of us can forget from time to time.

One of my favorite things about convention is that when we step into
that hotel, we find ourselves in the world where the blind are the
majority. We don't have to worry about the sighted public questioning
or interfering with us as we travel or go about our day. It's about
the blind. Whatever else may separate us, those attending the
convention will all have blindness in common, even those who are
sighted.

So, if you are going, learn everything you can, and enjoy yourselves.
Don't let any of the stress get to you. Take care of yourselves, and
soak in the experience. This will be my 8th convention, and I can't
wait! I do hope I will see many of you there. :)<div
