Hi all,
One member-at-large seat is open on the Wolfner Advisory Council.  The advisory council meets 3 times a year.  Most meetings are held  in person here at the offices in Jefferson City, although many members take advantage of the option to attend meetings via conference call.

Members of the Wolfner Advisory Council serve as representatives for Wolfner Library patrons and provide a conduit for information from the patron to the Library Director and staff.  Advisory Council members advise on the current services provided by the Wolfner Library and how these services may be improved.

Members also study programs and services developed by other libraries for the blind and disabled and by the National Library Service and make recommendations for their adoption based on analysis.  Finally, members communicate the value of reading and Wolfner Library services to people throughout the state, particularly those eligible for Wolfner Library services.

If you are interested in serving on the Wolfner Advisory Council, please write to Abbey Rimel at abbey.rimel at sos.mo.gov with your name, address, phone and a few words on why you would like to represent our patron population.  The Missouri Secretary of State gives final approval to prospective members.
