[NFBMO] Every step counts!

$125, and I'll throw in my non-step-counting chair, to boot. Lol
But seriously, this challenge is a lot of fun. I haven't tried putting my fitbit on my ankle yet, because I'm afraid I'll forget it's there, and get in the shower with it or something. However, I do put it in my pocket when I am on the treadmill, or strap it somewhere, as it doesn't seem to count right if I am holding on with my left hand. I also make sure and keep that arm swinging freely when I am in the grocery store.

I think this is a great message. When we were participating in our first contest, Cari Ford said that her Fitbit was unfairly registering steps when she sat in her rocking chair. I want to start the bid at $100 for that chair.

Speaking as one member of Our 2018-2019 -Saint Louis National Fitness Challenge Team is off to a great start averaging over 10,000 steps a day.
Don't worry if you are not there yet as every step counts as we try and approve at our own individual pace each day.
A couple of, perhaps, helpful notes:
First, make sure you wear your Fitbit all of the time.
It is a good idea to wear it on your ankle as you'll register more steps that way. I stick mine inside of my sock. Some folks wear it in a pants pocket but if you do this make sure you are getting credit for your steps as some folks have no problem getting their steps this way but others, for some reason, do not.
Second, and very important for the challenge, Sinc your Fitbit a couple times a day by simply opening your Fitbit app. Some of us just leave it open so we do not have to remember to sinc but that does affect your phone's battery life.
After 2 days we are in second place behind Cleveland and are well ahead of the group from the Louisiana Center!

Whatever you can do is very much appreciated!
Gene Coulter
