Rik Combs is seeking the Libertarian Party nomination for governor of Missouri in 2020. He wants to eliminate personal property taxes on cars, boats, farm equipment, etc. Though he is not likely to win since third party candidates have a difficult time winning elections, he is circulating a petition to put the question of eliminating personal property taxes to the voters in November of 2020.

According to this article, an analysis of the petition says that this would reduce the Blind Pension fund by 18%.

I always thought that the Blind Pension was funded only by taxes on real estate taxes, not personal property taxes too.
