[NFBMO] Question about wrongful employment termination I just experienced

It is possible that the company could fight providing you with unemployment. However, it is also equally possible that the state would go ahead and pick up and pay for your unemployment especially if you explain that it was something that you really did not do. It is contentious but it is possible. As far as how much you would receive, I am really not sure but the amount that you would receive off of unemployment for the short term would probably be similar to what you get with Social Security in the long term. I think that it is at least worth a shot. It would add bare minimum provide you with a transition plan.
