[NFBMO] Question about wrongful employment termination I just experienced

Hi Gene,

When you apply for disability, do you find it more beneficial to do it online or over the phone? How would that work, if you were trying to resume it? Years ago when I had it, I did it in person, but wanted to explore all my options.

Thank you,
Mike

Unforetunately, when you apply the company will be notified and almost certainly protest saying you were fired for cause resulting in a notice of disqualification which you will need to appeal. I would surely apply for the unemployment but just letting you know there will be hoops to jump through.

I had conflict with a coworker over needing help with some of my work because I was a level two programmer and she is a level four. Accessibility as a contributing factor in why I needed help.

I told the investigator in the company that I never made those remarks. There was never any proof. The next thing I knew, I was meeting with management to be discharged.

I know I can get back on disability, but I just wanted to know if there is anything else. I do plan to get back to work as quickly as possible, but I know I need something for now.
