That is only the first time you log into the app. Once you are logged in, you don’t have to do this again even if you close the app and relaunch it.

I have to get a code sent to my email or phone then type the four numbers in the right spots before even getting into the app.

Hi Brian,

Will you please clarify what you mean by the four numbers? I’ve never seen that on the Uber app. I double tap where it says, where to, and I enter my destinations. From there, it gives me choices on which car I want to select. I usually just go with the cheapest option. Then, my payment method is already stored. Finally, I just book the ride. it says something like request ride.
