A button scarf is a cowl like scarf that is attached with three buttons. I had some of those at the Board meeting last September. 

The crocodile stitch is a long straight scarf. The pattern looks like fish scales or leaves. It consists of a row of four scales, then three scales, then four scales, repeating until you run out of yarn.

From left to right:

1. Cream, dark cream, dark brown & dark teal;
2. Reds and greens (many varieties of each);
3. Lavender, aqua-gray, peach-gray, dark peach, purple-pink, red, dark teal;
4. Olive, gold, light rust, dark rust, browns, green-gray, cranberry
