The following needs to be done this weekend.
The House Committee is scheduled to vote On our prescription drug bill very
very soon. We need Emails this weekend in support of this bill. It would
mandate that pharmacies have systems to make prescription drug labels
accessible to the blind and visually impaired.
Tell the representatives why this is important to you.
Some points include that it would make prescription medications safer to
take as you would take the wrong drug or wrong dosage. It is important that
accessible drugs be available at all pharmacies due to to transportation
difficulties. The labels can either be accessible in large print, Braille,
or most commonly in audio format.
