> Why do you want to attend this Convention?: Participating in and advocating for blind persons has become very important to me, and attending National Convention is a way for me to maintain and increase my resolve to do my best to attain these goals. I enjoy meeting new people and seeing established friends at convention. Although not requested, I do take much pride and honor in being able to assist fellow chapter members, friends, and friends I haven’t met yet in any needs they may present throughout the convention. For example, I offer assistance to those going to the dog relief area, finding their assigned seats or state area, going on errands so they don’t miss important sessions or meetings. I also assist with finding eating establishments, meal ordering, and maneuvering other public access areas. I consider myself a sighted helper for those in need.

> financial circumstances.: I would appreciate any funding available. Hotel and airline costs appear to be the biggest constraint for me. I have recently switched full time jobs and attending convention will be at a sacrifice of taking the days without pay.
