[NFBMO] Springfield City Utilities Transit Proposed Route Changes and Fare Modifications effective October 1st 2024 Public Hearing.

City Utilities of Springfield is proposing route, schedule changes and fare modifications. The fare modifications must be approved by the city council the schedule and route changes will be approved by trans staff after the public hearing. This hearing will take place on May 1st 2024 from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Downtown Transit Center 211 N Main Ave.
Proposed hours of service:
Routes 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14 Monday through Friday: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM (30 minute service) 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (60 minute service) last bus leaving the Transit Center at 9:00 PM Saturday (60 minute service) 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM last bus leaving the Transit Center at 9:00 PM
Route 31 and 35 discontinue
Route 36 and 38 (these routes DO NOT serve the Transit Center) Monday through Friday: (60 minute service) 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM last run at 7:00 PM Saturday: (60 minute service) 8:00 AM to 7:00 last run at 6:00 PM
Sunday and Major Holidays Routes 22, 25, 26, and 27 (60 minute service) 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM last run at 4:00 PM. Additionally there will no service and the Transit Center will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

* Reduce fares by 20% for single-rides fares, as well as other passes and ticketbooks.
* Increase transfers to $0.25 from $0.10.
