I was working with my mom on hers. , If she was given the correct information, then her portal is up-to-date. I will log into mine, so I can see where it stands this year. Last year, I received a cut off letter, after sending many pages of requested information through the portal, and being told I had failed to do so. I agree with Gary as well. Let me know where I can be of help.

I agree, with Gary’s suggestions. We need to addres it directly with FSD. I will work on this with Gene Coulter as to the best approach to get this issue addressed by FSD with testing of forms by blind users.

Perhaps we should seek a direct meeting with the people who provide data processing services for the Family Support Division. I think we should also invoke the services of the good people we know at Rehabilitation Services for the Blind not only to lend their expertise in coding but also to get them involved in testing most forms that will be presented to the public from the Division or even the Department of Social Services. I think the fact that Jenny was able to survive this means that we were spared a terribly bad story and its consequences, but this was more a matter of good follow-up on Jenny's part that it was a self-correcting problem with the agency administering the pension and Missouri HealthNet. Since we are willing to jump on businesses for the failure to provide accommodations, we should jump on government even harder.
Warmly,
Gary

I know I am preaching to the choir here, but We totally should not be, in this day and age, having to have conversations about accessibility with these forms. It is frustrating that there is this portal where we are supposed to be able to take care of these things on our own, but it really isn’t an option to do so. The old fashioned way is finding someone willing to help, and depending upon them to correctly print our information on the paper forms.

I created an account on the portal and completed Ben's annual review on it, although the accessibility of completing the form was very clunky and I opted to have help because I didn't want to risk filling it out incorrectly. Anyway after submitting the renewal form, I received an email a few days later that said that there was additional information requested from me and that I could access it through the portal. Upon logging into the portal there was no additional information.
I called to find out what I needed to complete and the person I spoke with said that they saw nothing I needed to do.
Fast forward a few more weeks and I get an action notice in the mail that Ben would be losing his insurance because I did not complete my renewal form. Again, I made a phone call and was told that they saw my form, but that no one ever reviewed it and therefor it was not marked as received. Fortunately it was all figured out, but I wish I would have just done the annual review the old fashioned way.

Hello. I am wondering if anyone has successfully been able to use the FSD benefits portal? Information about reviews there does not seem to be accurate. Is this still not working as it is supposed to? Thanks for any information anyone can provide on this.
