  Madame President, As I was unable to attend the 2026 national convention of the National Federation of the Blind in Austin, TX. 2026; I subsequently learned at the Springfield Chapter meeting of your being reelected to the national board of the greatest blind  organization in the world.  As you know, this is the most august of blind leaders ever to be assembled at one time in today’s modern world.  If I had the opportunity to go back in time once, and change the proceedings, I would immediately stop the Meeting and remind everyone of this incredible honor.  You demonstrate your leadership in engagement.  Although, this is one of the highest honors of one’s career, you did not say a word  because you were confident to know that you belonged there.  Way to lead the movement.  As our guest, you respected our discussion and answered our concerns with confidence and certainty.  Way to lead the movement.  You made the membership the priority; although, it was obvious that you were under the weather.  Way to lead the movement.  With you continuously being in the room, Blind Missourians will always have the first access to blind innovation, the forefront of information to choose as desired and in real time, the pulse of the leadership, and the energy of the body.  Way to lead the movement.  Congratulations on your august accomplishment, because you have to be at the forefront of every batton General Patton quoted “(please find quote)” do not mourn such men who died” but honor such men who lived (and turn this into a wuitty to say if he were alive today and making the quote for a board member of the national Federation of the blind).  It takes discipline, courage foresight, compassion, heart, belief, philosophy, history, honor, growth, Fortitude, wisdom, a never say die attitude, apride in the members, patience, endurance, the time, the effort, the sacrifices, the money,  the hope, the desire, the authority to allow discussion, to strength to make the decision, the fidelity to carry out the financial responsibilities of the movement, the brilliance to see potential and the backbone to inspire it, the intelligence to seek guidance without guilt and the conviction to lead without question or influence, thecuriousity to encourage ever lasting idea and voice and the strategy to voice it to the electorate, and the sageness to know that the membership is the movement and and the president is merely the mirror to be a leader in this movement and here in Missouri we found them all in one member.  Madame President, nationally some may know you as the “wrightMove” but in the Show Me state we simply call it the “Sheila statement”.  Thank you for a caring enough to lead.  Thank you for believing enough to follow.  Thank you for growing enough to inspire.  Thank you for enduring enough to keep making Missouri WIN? Congratulations, Madame President, and way to lead the movement!
