<font color="black">The bill tries to include a partial increase in Medicaid eligibility, but it is <b>written in direct conflict with Federal law and would result in no increase at all</b>. Missouri would miss out on the opportunity to cover 260,000 uninsured working people and create 24,000 new jobs in 2014.<br />
<br />
<font color="black">In fact, HB 700 cuts coverage for children, women, and cancer patients. <b>It would actually result in fewer people covered at greater cost</b>. Fully expanding Medicaid eligibility in Missouri to 138% of the Federal Poverty Level (about $26,000 a year for a family of three) is the only way for Missouri’s citizens, budget and the economy.<br />
