The fix is below.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr"><p class="MsoNormal" style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; font-family: Aptos, serif;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;">By a weird or maybe not so wweird coincidence, I encountered this exact same issue when opening Word documents just a few days ago and it was maddening. Location services is definitely disabled on my machine and I even disabled location services override. As my Documents folder is linked to OneDrive, I went to <span dir="ltr" style="color: blue; text-decoration: underline;">onedrive.com</span> to see if there was anything remotely related to this in OneDrive\u2019s settings but nothing obvious jumped out at me. Finally, I went into Word\u2019s Privacy Settings via the Account tab and disabled all options for connected services and that stopped the message.
