During their stay, campers will receive hands-on guide dog instruction with an emphasis on understanding the specific orientation and mobility skills required to be a successful guide dog handler, as well as the fitness and endurance necessary for guide dog travel. They will also have mentoring opportunities with successful guide dog handlers. Campers will also learn all about GDB and the communities of support that enhance our programs. There are plenty of social activities and time for developing new friendships too!<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>Qualified applicants are visually impaired and seriously considering the guide dog lifestyle. Campers are responsible for their own daily living skills. Campers will stay in the lodge at Oral Hull, which will be chaperoned around the clock by GDB staff and volunteers.
