Hi,

I run water through the coffee pot with no coffee in to get the hot water
for instant oatmeal and other things I carry.

Best
George

Last year, I carried a few freeze dried meals designed for backpacking. You
just add hot water, let it warm for a while, and you have a passable hot
meal. I got mine from Bob Ward's, but Wal-Mart carries them too as do any
sporting goods store. They are very light and small, thus easy to carry.

Best!

Dar,
They have coffee cups. I use instant oatmeal from hot water from
the coffee machine, also heating hot water for hot chocolate. I learned
this from another attendee, (Dan Burke, when we shared a room in D C. Where
there is a will, there is a way.
