[Nfbmt] permission?

Hi Jim. I am really confused. I just replied to a message I got from
someone calling themselves DMGena. She stated that no one can go to any
convention without first getting written permission from you. Honestly Jim,
I am so tired of this nonsense. Do you know who DMGena is?
Randi believes the confusion may lie in the question of funding. Is it
possible that when she states that someone must get the written permission
from you to go that she actually means that a person must secure funding
through you if they need funding to go to a conference, not so much that
they need your permission to go? This possibility makes sense but it seems
weird that all day people were assuming that I was trying to strong arm
funding out of you/ national by just saying I was going and expecting you or
national to pay for it. I'm so tired of this old argument.
Becca

Hi Rebecca,
No! My permission isn't needed for you to attend any meetings! We are
pleased to have you go! I'm simply encouraging you to go.
Dar wrote you privately! It is possible to write anyone here a private
message rather than have it go to the entire list. When one is on a list,
one can get quite a few email messages!
Jim
