But as to the Blog.
They are all set up differently, is my experience. Some navigate better than others using speech.
The NFB Blog of course is designed very well. Though of course folks like you and me may have to figure a thing or 2 out when first dipping our toes in.

In JAWS I just hit H for each heading and then down arrow to read the posts that interest me.
As to the rest of it, I just fiddle and fool around to figure out if I want to up and submit a post.
Or dig a post hole.

Gosh. What is it with me today? Huh?
I really need to go for a walk.
Wish me luck on this crazy ice today.

Hi Rick.  NFB blog...This excites me and terrifies me simultaneously.  I love the sound of it, a blog site where I can go and get information from others who will know what they are talking about but I have never used a blog.  Using Jaws, can a person like me, a person who can't see the screen, participate in a "blog?" I have never found the courage to try blogging nor have I heard of a blog before that interests me as much as the NFB blog.

Hello again, friends, and fellow Federationists.

I had meant to invite someone to continue this conversation about the current reading devices and means and strategies of acquiring the reading materials.

It may well be that there is a website that has a well-written and current summary of all that is available and detail about each.
I know many of us in our circle, have a good brain trust already.
But I am always with an antenna outreached. And I find I can not hope to really keep abreast of all the fast developing innovations and technology.

If someone is aware of a specific page or website, please reply to this discussion thread and post that link. Okay?

You probably know of the NFB A T Blog.
There are good posts there, and discussion.

And as to a podcast, some of you may enjoy, as I have come to enjoy listening regularly to the Eyes on Success podcast with Nancy and Peter Torphey. The cover a lot of ground, and they have good guests, covering a very wide range of topics. It is only 30 minutes or so which makes it nice and concise. The original name of the podcast was Viewpoints Plus. And they changed it to Eyes on Success last year. I tell you that so that the link will not confuse anybody.

Here is another thing to mention and share.
Feeds. I love feeds.
Do you use RSS Feeds?
There is another thing I started to use regularly in the last year or so.
When I find a thing I like to return to to read or to find content to download, I will look for a link for the RSS Feeds.
Not much about it that is specifically for the blind. But I find it absolutely cool to use. Quick to navigate using speech, and easy to download from.
Does anyone use Feeds regularly?  I do!  Mostly I have come to use them by way of the Internet Explorer browser. I put the Feeds under different categories. Which makes it nice to have them sorted out a bit.  My big 
categories are, just in case you are wondering:   ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT, 
BASEBALL, BLIND TECH, GENERAL INTEREST, NEWS, and POLITICS.  When I subscribe to a feed of somehting, I will place it in one of those places in the process.
