>From Rose Sloan:

I want to sincerely thank those of you who participated in our week of
action last month. I have waited until today to update you on our progress
because sometimes we do not see the results of our work until weeks after we
take action. I am happy to report that since our week of action, we have
gained eleven more cosponsors. HR 831 is up to 89 official cosponsors, and
I have gotten word that two more are in queue.

In addition, I wanted to let you know that last week, our bill sponsor,
Congressman Gregg Harper, had an article published in The Hill about HR 831.
If you haven't seen this article yet, it can be accessed by visiting:
http://thehill.com/opinion/op-ed/208132-subminimum-wage-must-end. It is a
very well done piece, and exemplifies the importance of HR 831 brilliantly.

Our hard work is really paying off, but as you know, our fight for fair
wages is not finished until HR 831 is passed. SourceAmerica will be
attempting to make this task more difficult. This Tuesday is their day on
the Hill, and they will be actively advocating against HR 831.

Please be on the lookout for a Legislative Alert from me describing our
strategy to make sure that Members of Congress get the full story. We need
them to know that the Fair Wages for Workers with Disabilities Act will open
the doors to employment opportunities for American workers with
disabilities.

Thank you again for all of your hard work.

Yours in the fight for fair wages,

Rose
