Becca,
Its great you're learning Braille. (my fingers have lost a lot of
their feeling, so I have difficulty.) Keep up your studies
As for your book, We did receive the card and Anna has read it,
sharing a lot of it with me. Keep me posted as to when the revision comes
out.
I think it's great that you have so many talents. Keep using them
in a positive manner.
Ted

Hi Ted. I just reviewed your message again. I'm already learning a lot
here at Blind Inc. I've been learning Braille. Yesterday I learned
A-J,today I learned the number sign to turn A-J into numbers and I also
learned the words that A-J represent in short hand. The method they are
using to teach us Braille is where they first teach us the code, then they
will teach us to feel the dots. It sounds like they've been experiencing
great success with this new method of teaching Braille. When I was out here
in March checking out the program, they explained to me that people are
picking up in six weeks or so what used to take six months to learn. I know
I really like this method of learning Braille,it's much easier than the way
they tried to force me to learn Braille in 1989 when I first went blind. By
the way, did you listen to the download of my book that I sent you? I've
written a revision and it will be available in a few days if you haven't
listened to it yet and would like to listen to the new improved version. I
don't think you ever said if you even received the card I sent you. I hope
you and Anna are doing fine.
Becca

Becca,
Thanks for your suggestion. Since this post was for ideas about
"door prizes", could it be an item easily transported (To take to and for
the recipient to take home)?
If you could have Randy check this out for us, it would be
appreciated.
If we were to have a drawing, it would entail selling raffle tickets
which I see would fall under a "fund raising" project.
Keep up the good thinking and do good with your studies. I am sure
you will be impressed with the things you will learn at Blind Inc. I am
excited for you.
Keep me posted.
Ted

Hi Ted. I think maybe we could offer something that is uniquely Montanan.
Randi and I are members of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. I am of
course tied up in Minneapolis but I could ask Randi if he will go to the
RMEF and see what beautiful elk piece of art he could find. Then we could
raffle that off or whatever you guys want to do with it. Let me know. I
could talk to Randi about it and open the door so you could call him about
it if you'd rather.

Greetings,

Several of us are planning on attending the NFB National
convention in Orlando this July.

We should have a, or some door prizes to be given away from
Montana. Do any of you (members of the NFB of MT) have a good idea for door
prizes that we can take to represent Montana? Generally in the past we have
just provided $$'s, since it is easy to take and if received, easy to bring
home.

How about it. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks for your indulgence.

Ted
