The Disability Employment and Transitions Division of the Montana
Department of Public Health and Human Services presents to the Joint
Appropriations Subcommittee for Health and Human Services from
9:00-10:30 AM on Thursday, February 5 at the Capitol in Room 102.
Immediately following the division presentation, the subcommittee will
hold a public hearing on the division’s programs from 10:30-11:30 AM on
the same day and in the same room.  Executive action by the subcommittee
follows the hearing.

This schedule may change, including the date, time or room number, so
please check with the Legislature’s website at

the Health and Human Resource Schedule.  Also at the website listed
above, one can find other presentations and hearings that affect
Montanans with disabilities.  Note that the Legislature broadcasts its
proceedings through its website if you are unable to attend personally.

Programs of the division include Vocational Rehabilitation and Blind
Services, Disability Determination Services, Independent Living
Services, Independent Living Services for the Older Blind, Visual
Services Medical, Extended Employment Services, the Montana
Telecommunications Access Program, Montana’s Assistive Technology
Program, the Montana Youth Leadership Forum, Montana Youth Transitions,
and Transportation Coordination.  The presentation centers on the
Governor’s budget for the division for the 2017 biennium.  The hearing
provides an opportunity for citizens to comment on those plans.
Executive actions are decisions made by the Subcommittee on the plans.
