Here is another radio station to put on your Victor Radio Stream internet
radio favorites.
American University right there in DC. An NPR flagship for many things,
including the popular syndicated Diane Rehm Show.
It is W A M U.

WBAL is an A M station in Baltimore. And it is also great for very frequent
weather and traffic updates. As well as Orioles baseball.

Oh, but not so much Orioles In January. They fly south.

Joy and Violet.
I am concerned for your travel and how it will be there in DC with this
storm.
They are going to have a mess of snow and lots of flight cancellations.
The big media is having a field day with dire predictions and they will no
doubt tell us all how terrible it all is.
But to some extent, this is the media doing that for large TV ratings.
Next to the latest and greatest war, or the political stump horse race
campaign speech, they like to paint it pretty rough for ratings.

Still. That said. The panic and the possible consequences, it is not a fairy
tale, however.
Getting there, getting settled while there, and getting back. All are with
big concerns.  And I am concerned for you both and all of our Federation
brothers and sisters.

Of course they all love to go crazy in the media and act like it is a
Tsunami.
And that weighs in on your consideration of how uncomfortable it will be,
and how unpredictable this all is at this point.

I will not advise you.  It would be easy for me to say this or that.  It is
your choice, and I respect it.
But as a member, I am comfortable with your decision. Should you choose to
forfeit the non-refundable expense of this trip. I am okay with that.

No matter what you decide, I want to say, thank you for representing us.
I applaud and cheer. And I will be checking in with you all to see what more
we need to do on our issues.

Our current representatives in Congress, regardless of party affiliation, do
need to be contacted.
Even if you do not go to DC, they will hear from us, indeed they will!

Right, everyone? Do you promise to do the work, with Joy and advocate on the
policy issues as laid out in the Washington Seminar?

Joy et al,
My recommendation is that you continue to plan on making the trip.
The airlines will let you know whether you can get there or not.
I remember several years ago, when I was farming, we were forecast for one
of the most dire storms for several years.  I got prepared for it, taking
care of my animals, etc and nothing materialized.  Then, a month or two
later we were forecast for a mild storm and I could not even get a 4 wheel
drive pickup, loaded with hay, in to feed my animals. So, you figure.

hour for traffic, weather updates since they carry talk shows.
