Hi All,

I wanted to share with you the following information because several of you have asked for it.

1. You can access a full list of Section 14(c) certificate holding entities by visiting this website:

<http://www.dol.gov/whd/specialemployment/CRPlist.htm> http://www.dol.gov/whd/specialemployment/CRPlist.htm. My recommendation is to sort the data by state and take a look.

2. Here is a summary of the legislative priorities.

a. Transitioning to Integrated and Meaningful Employment Act:

                                                              i. In the House, we are asking all members (except those who already have) to cosponsor HR 188 which was sponsored by Congressman Gregg Harper (R-MS). There are 53 cosponsors on HR 188:

1. 21 Republicans

2. 32 Democrats

ii. In the Senate, we are asking all Senators to cosponsor S. 2001 which was introduced by Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH). There is one cosponsor: Senator Michael Bennet from Colorado. He is a Democrat who serves on the HELP Committee.

b. Accessible Instructional Materials in Higher Education Act:

                                                              i. In the House, we are asking Republican members of the Higher Education and Workforce Training Subcommittee to sponsor the bill; we are asking everyone else to cosponsor when the bill is introduced.

ii. In the Senate, we are asking Republican members of the HELP committee to sponsor the bill; we are asking everyone else to cosponsor when the bill is introduced.

c. Space Available

                                                              i. In the House, we are asking members to cosponsor HR 2264 which was introduced by Congressman Gus Bilirakis (R-FL). There are 20 cosponsors.

1. 13 Republicans

2. 7 Democrats

ii. In the Senate, we are asking Republican members of the Armed Services committee to sponsor the bill. We are asking all other members to support when the bill is introduced.

d. Marrakesh Treaty

                                                              i. Please focus on TIME, AIM HE, and Space A in the House; we are not talking about Marrakesh in the House this year.

ii. We are asking Senators to support ratification when the ratification package is sent to the Senate from the Intergovernmental working group.

As a reminder, the fact sheets and FAQs can be found at <https://nfb.org/washington-seminar> https://nfb.org/washington-seminar.

Thanks so much for all of your hard work. We look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow or throughout the week.

Yours in the fight for fair wages,

Rose

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
