So, Senator Daines isn't declaring a position on the ADA dismantling bill at
this time, right? It would help a lot for each of us to keep contacting
Senator Daines on this issue. Who knows, we might be able to persuade him
to leave the ADA intact. Thanks for passing this info along!

Dear Ms. Breslauer,

Thank you for contacting me to express your opposition to H.R. 620, the ADA
Education and Reform Act. I value your point of view and appreciate the
opportunity to respond.

As you may know, Representative Ted Poe (TX-02) introduced the ADA Education
and Reform Act on January 24, 2017. It would amend the American with
Disabilities Act of 1990 to promote compliance through education, clarify
the requirements for demand letters, and provide for a notice and cure
period before the commencement of a private civil action. Following its
introduction, H.R. 620 passed the House of Representatives and was received
in the Senate where it awaits further consideration. Please be assured I
will continue to monitor its progress and will keep your thoughts in mind
should it come to a vote in the Senate.

Again, thanks for contacting me. It is my number one priority in the Senate
to represent the values and interests of the people of Montana, and your
input is very helpful as I do. I invite you to visit my website,
www.daines.senate.gov, for updates about activities in Washington that
affect our lives in Montana or to contact me. I look forward to hearing from
you again in the future.

Sincerely,

Steve Daines
United States Senator
