I agree, I hadn't thought about having to print it out & then having to have
it transcribed to an official ballot.  I guess I was thinking of a website
you filled everything out & it went to the right place to count.  With
everything being touch screens now I think it would have to be able to pair
it with your phone to fill it out.  Or it would have to have a speech
program on the machine like voice over.  I don't know if these will work or
are good ideas.  I was just thinking out loud.

My opinion about having a ballot that you fill out online and then print and
mail or bring to your voting facility is this.  First it assumes that a
person has a printer that works, and right now I don't.  Second, it would
print out on regular printed paper and have to be transcribed onto a paper
ballot by somebody at the polling place.  I'm sure they would do what they
could to preserve secrecy and privacy, but there is still that intermediary
step of having someone else transfer my votes to a paper ballot that can be
counted with the rest.  I'm not sure that's something I can buy into.  I
always go down in person and use the machines, and I hope that whatever
machines they go to will be as accessible for me as the AutoMARK has been.

What I don't understand, is we made such a fuss over the machines, now we
want to make sure we can vote from home.
I feel folks got unhapppy with the help from others to vote, now we want it
different again.
I would stick with the machines.
To be out in public working with others to vote is more important than
staying home.
Just my thoughts.
I am not for the paper balets.
