Yes, I sent in a comment from you based on an email message.

Right now, there is nothing in Montana law that deals with a penalty for
negligently harming or causing the death of a service animal.  This bill
would fill that gap.  I know the penalty is too low, but it's more than what
we have now, and it is in line with other misdemeanor penalties in Montana
law.  I know it will meet with some resistance, but I hope something like it
passes so that those with legitimate service animal partnerships can be
protected.

 Everyone's situation with a guide dog or service animal is unique, so
telling your story is very important, especially if you have lived through
the injury or death of a service animal, or have experienced interference
with or destruction of your partnership due to someone else's actions.  Joy
