Joy,

Ther Kindle app and the Kindle books are fairly accessible for iOS, as
George described. I've read a fair number of books on Kindle over the
years, but it is definitely best for a novel or any title that is
pretty much straight text. And there are a number of otherwise
difficult to find titles. For example, when my friend published a
history of horse racing in Montana and I wanted to support her effort,
I was able to buy the book in Kindle format and read it. Because it's
a small Montana publisher, it isn't likely to get into the Bookshare
collection unless I buy and scan it myself. The Montana Talking Book
Library is producing it, I think, but like I said, I wanted to support
my author friend. (Actually, not that I think of it, I think they
invited her to narrate the audio book for MTBL.)

Kindle works, though like George suggests, I pay for a subscription to
Bookshare and read those books with Voice Dream Reader on my phone.

HTH
