Blind and Low Vision Services asked me to pass along the following: Please
consider joining the April 12 meeting described below to discuss Montana's
Independent Living for the Older Blind program. Zoom instructions are
below. Be sure to convert to Montana time.

Dear Discussion Group Invitee:

You have been identified by the Montana Department of Blind and Low Vision
Services (MBLVS) Older Blind Program as a community resource or organization
that may be able to share information about how services to individuals 55
and older are being provided.

Because you are somehow connected to Montana's Older Blind Program, the
Older Individuals who are Blind Technical Assistance Center (OIB-TAC),
funded by a grant from the U. S. Department of Education, Rehabilitation
Services Administration, invites you to participate in a discussion group
about services for older individuals who are blind, OIB. We at the OIB-TAC
are tasked with providing technical assistance and training to state OIB
programs at their request, with the overall goal of helping them improve
service delivery to older persons with visual impairments.

The purpose of this discussion group meeting is to learn from you about what
is going well, what challenges exist, and how the OIB program within the
MDBLVS can better connect with community programs or resources like yours.
We will provide non-identifiable reflections of comments/information
received from the discussion group with the OIB program administrators at
MDBLVS.

The OIB-TAC is working with the MDBLVS Older Blind Program to identify
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities for improvement and threats/challenges
to the OIB program in Montana, and the feedback we receive from this
discussion group is an important element of this process. In addition, we
will be working with the OIB team in Montana to develop strategic goals to
strengthen their services and will continue to provide ongoing technical
assistance and training to them over the next year.
Please join us via Zoom on Tuesday, April 12 from Noon - 1:00 p.m. to
participate in this discussion group. The link for this Zoom meeting is
below.

You can learn more about the OIB-TAC by visiting the website
www.oib-tac.org.

Thank you for your participation. Your input is very much appreciated.

Warm Regards,
Kendra Farrow
