[NFBMT] Possibly Moving To Montana Later This Year

Hi Armando,
I have lived here for almost a year now. I moved here from North Carolina and really like it here so far. The main concerns would be jobs and transportation though. The transportation is not the greatest in most areas, although I live in Missoula which probably has the best public transit out of the whole state. They just expanded the hours that the public transit runs here, so it is better than when I first got here, and I live on one of the bolt routes which comes every 15 minutes, but most of the routes come once an hour and maybe once every 30 minutes for a few of them. it is also harder to get from city to city within Montana. Also, it is difficult finding jobs here. I searched for a job for several months, but I feel like a lot of local employers may not have experience with the blind and visually impaired so do not think they can do much. I got several interviews but didn’t end up landing a job despite the training I’ve had in customer service and having job coaching to help me prep for interviews. I was able to get a part-time remote job, but the person that hired me was actually from out of state. I am starting school at the University here, and it seems very accessible and accommodating, but finding jobs is the hard part. Otherwise, it is a nice place to live.
Thank you,

Misty Bradley
