If this is meet the blind month then Reggie who drives for Uber got a
full dose today.

I went to Second Time Around on Brown Street on the RTA and took Uber
back home from Dewey's.

The driver and I were talking about language, the current state of the
constantly changing vernacular and the possible sources of such
changes. EG. No worries, super good, super fun, super cold/hot,
wellness, unAmerican etc.

Reggie said that before he picked me up he heard something he'd never
heard before.

"I had a pickup of 3 blind people and they were talking about getting
tattoos. They spoke like you" he said referring to the verbiage use
of the word seeing instead of hearing incorporated by us blind
peoples.

"I just thought it was so cool. I'd never thought that blind people
would be talking about tattoos let alone getting tattooed."

I assumed if Reggie had 3 blind people in his car then it must be
federation-related because in all of my life I've only known
federationists to get out and travel in groups.

"Did you pick them up at the Episcapal church downtown" I asked?

Reggie said he did and that he drove one man and two ladies.

"What was the fella's name?"

"Robert" he said.

I was excited about this, and when Reggie had finished speaking
appreciatively about what he had learned and the unexpected nature of
the event I added that meeting 4 blind people within an hour was
probably a new record for the average person (national/state
conventions being an exception).

So this is the aftereffect of blind people simply doing everyday
things, and as far as meeting the blind month goes Reggie's
familiarity increased four-fold.
