Good morning Mr. and Mrs. art Fabian, just a note of thanks to both of you for all you do for The National Federation Of The Blind Miami Valley chapter.
Everyone enjoyed your Tandem bikes. What a wonderful experience to ride and have the wind blowing on your face. It was an exhilarating experience for our members. We cannot thank you enough again thank you sincerely Dr. Carolyn Peters Miami Valley chapter president

Good morning Mr. art Fabian, I spoke with maintenance at Sinclair park Harrison Township. They assured me that the debris would be cleared from the bike Waze and driveways before Saturday. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Sincerely Dr. Carolyn Peters

My wife and I took a ride around Sinclair Park and found out several things.
One, it would be a nice ride, except the pavement is in very poor condition
for bike riding, especially on a tandem. The second tandem rider tends to
feel all the bumps jolting them right up the spine into the head. I'm pretty
sure many of the riders will feel fairly antsy with the curves and bumps.
Secondly, there is brush hanging over the trail and sticks, etc. on the
path. Would Harrison Township be willing to clear the path before Saturday?
Again, it's passable, but any wiggling of the bike to avoid problems may
make some riders (who can't see) a little nervous.

I finally checked out the park yesterday. Yes, there is a bike loop around
the park but it's not in great condition. It may be a bumpy ride at times.
My wife and I will ride it in a day or so to test it. She'll definitely give
me feedback on how safe or rough it is.

So, as it stands now, I'll plan on being there next week and maybe have one
additional tandem bike and captain.

I'll check it out when the weather's a little better. However, I'm not sure
of the easy of tandem riding in that park. I don't recall the trails being
particularly conducive to larger bikes.

Wow, you're planning in advance. I'll put it in my calendar. We're

generally

in town in mid-August, so it shouldn't be a problem. I'll also try to

contact some other folks who might help. There will be a lot of tandem

activity in Ohio (mostly near Columbus) during the summer so it shouldn't

be

too hard to find other bikers.
