Subject: [NFBMV] Updates

Hello everyone,

A couple of things first I forgot to mention to you guys on Saturday about the case that I have against Social Security. Their kiosk when you go to their office to register to let them know that you’re there to see them obviously is not disabled friendly. It is i another woman with the help of the NFB. Who is going against them asking them to make their kiosk accessible to those who are disabled. At first they were blowing the lawyers off and kind of ignoring it. They have recently admitted that there Khios have been updated little by little and they all don’t coincide with one another in some of the touchscreens are really big some of them are small. Some of them have keypad some of them don’t and some of them have headphone jacks and some of them don’t they don’t connect with the speaker so you don’t always know what you’re typing. So as far as I know they were ready to purchase some without it even being tested to make sure that they work well for everyone. So right now it’s on the table is Social Security has three choices. One they can do their own testing to make sure that they are accessible for all disabled people., to you they can hire a third-party to make sure that the testing happens and a satisfied for both sides or that NFB has to hire some people who would be willing to do all the testing. I know that there are groups that are recommended and are available. So we’re just waiting to see I was just myself hoping that it would be kind of like the ATM machine will you stick your headphones into the jack but apparently there’s a whole lot more to it.

Also here is a reminder to let you guys know that I am changing the prayer time from 6 AM to 7 AM hoping more people join. I will again send the phone number and code to the conference call line. Dr. Peters informed me that they were not able to get in last week. I was not aware of this since I got in earlier waiting for people. Let’s try again tomorrow morning. Will be a great idea for us to pray about all the different things that are out there as far as different cases against different organizations. I myself eventually would love for all the payment methods at stores to be one unit and would be accessible to those who are disabled.
