Minutes for January 11, 2020 meeting

Welcome and call to order

Attendance: those present were: Dr. Peters, Tim, Sheila, Rachel, Shaina, Gary, Wanda, Janine, Aloha, Jack, Joel, Terry, and President payne.

Absent: Robbie, Karen, Shirley, Patricia., Kenshoc who is in school.

Guest: Kelley Schultz from the Twenty20 senses, Rosa Clay and two of her friends.

Kelley gave a presentation On the 2020 census. Informed us of the importance of completing the census by email computer or telephone. Also, possibilities for employment. In the Dayton area the range for salaries are $18 and 50 Cent up to $20.20.

Tim gave a treasures report. And we ask members to pay their dues.

Dr. peters made the announcement that the state convention for the Nfb Ohio affiliate will be held in Dayton November fifth, sixth, and seventh of November 2020. Everyone will participate in some manner at the state convention as a member of the Miami Valley Chapter. Sheila Hardy -Wilson board member at large and Gary Williams member are part of the planning committee. Sheila will coordinate hospitality for the state she will select her committee and they will be responsible for our hospitality.

Karen Warner, vice president will coordinate donations for door prizes for Dayton she will be needing assistance from the Chapter financially. She will be working with Annette Lutz to coordinates for the state.

Robbie Spangler Secretary will coordinate online registration for the state affiliate. Dr. Peters, will coordinate on site registration. The remaining members will assist we are needed as Marshalls to welcome individuals to our city.

We will provide updates for the state convention at every meeting until convention. Please attend all telephone meetings if possible. So that we are all be updated. Anyone attending the national convention please attend those telephone meetings as well and start booking your room reservation if you have not already.

Dr. Peters provided cupcakes and ice cream cups for January birthdays Sheila and Melody. I forgot to mention Melody as an absent member as well. Also, Janine was not present she was at a funeral.

Also Terry More provided chips and water, and a Laura has cinnamon rolls. And paper products.

Dr. peters announce that Terry More would like to make a presentation for the month of February and she has an attorney that she would like to visit in sheer information in case we need an attorney. President payne stated we do not need to have speakers on a regular basis. But we did not have speakers on a regular basis last year and this was something different. So Terry will present or she will have her attorney present For our February meeting after we conduct business.
