National Federation Of The Blind, Miami Valley chapter, meeting: Saturday, 
January 11, 2020, 1 PM until 3 P, Christ a Piscopo Church, 20 W. 1st St., 
downtown Dayton.
Agenda:
Welcome, prayer, Roll Call: Dr. Carolyn Peters, president.
Presentation by: regional office of the census bureau , Mrs. Kelley Schultz, 
15 to 20 minutes, 10 minutes questions and answers. She will present the 
importance of completing the 2020 census, by mail, by telephone, or by face 
to face. Also, there are job opportunities for six months to a year, salary 
ranges $18 and 50 Cent up to $20.20, please invite your friends and family 
to attend to hear this presentation.
Minutes-please read before attending the meeting, Robbie Spangler, Secretary 
will entertain comments/questions.
Treasures report, please read before attending the meeting, Tim Jenning 
treasurer, or Will entertain comments/questions and collect dues of eight 
dollars.
Ohio affiliate president Richard payne will make a presentation to members.
Presidential release for January 2020, you may access the presidential 
release on NFB-Newsline or if you use Alexa you can get it by asking for the 
podcast for the presidential release.

We will also share upcoming events: national convention to be held at Hilton 
America Houston, Houston Texas July 14-19, 2020, also state convention, to 
be announced. Please make your reservations for a hotel if you are planning 
to attend the national convention please do not wait to the last minute be 
prepared this year.
Vice president Karen Warner will be responsible for membership, if you know 
of anyone that would be interested in joining our chapter please give her 
their email address and phone number, I will assist her in phone calls she 
will complete email correspondence. Secretary Robbie Spangler will assist 
her with on boarding process.
Sheila Hardy -Wilson, board member at large will coordinate activities of 
the chapter with members. If you have any ideas for projects please share 
them at this meeting.
We have several members who whole state positions on different committees 
they will share what they are. Terry More will present or have a presenter 
for a February meeting. March meeting Goodwill Easter Seals will present to 
our chapter.
We are being encouraged to use Facebook we need to start planning how to 
make this happen, also we need to start recording activities for the gavel 
report starting this month.
